Parish of Moorbanool/Charleys Creek update (March 2005)

In February an inspection by Colac Otway Shire revealed that Midway had breached the Code of Forest Practice at this plantation. The following photos reveal what remedial work has been carried out by the company.

March 05: Bulldozed riparian zones and road located in very close proximity to Charley's Creek. Will the riparian zones be planted with indigenous vegetation and retired from timber production? Or will they be replanted with Bluegum? Allotment 14D Parish of Moorbanool.

Gellibrand River Bridge Blow Out

March 05: Heavy rains in early February caused major damage to this bridge over the Gellibrand River, near Sayers Road. Stormwater must have been as high as the bridge judging by the debris left at the bridge side.
